Built Around the Native 21:9 Cinema Experience

A wider format for more cinematic image composition.

Built Around the Native 21:9 Cinema Experience

GTCS CinemaScope features a native 21:9 (2.35:1) aspect ratio that matches the format used by many feature films and cinematic productions. Compared with a traditional 16:9 screen, it creates a wider, more immersive presentation while also offering a distinctive visual platform for boardrooms, control centers, museums, education and digital information displays.

  • Native 21:9 CinemaScope platform
  • Wider presentation for scope-format content
  • Home cinema and professional visualization applications
  • Screen format—not surface material—is the primary product definition

Choose the Surface That Fits Your Space

One CinemaScope format with multiple surface options.

Choose the Surface That Fits Your Space

GTCS is available with several projection surfaces to match different environments and projector types. The standard configuration uses Black Crystal for enhanced contrast and improved ambient-light performance with standard and long-throw projectors. Depending on the application, customers may also choose PET Grid, Matte White, acoustically transparent woven or perforated materials. PET Crystal is available for selected custom sizes up to 115 inches.

Surface Options

  • Black Crystal — recommended standard
  • PET Grid
  • Matte White
  • Woven Acoustic
  • Perforated Acoustic
  • PET Crystal — selected custom sizes up to 115 inches

Plan the Complete CinemaScope Projection System

Complete 21:9 planning across projector, lens, room and surface.

Plan the Complete CinemaScope Projection System

CinemaScope should be selected as part of a complete wide-screen system rather than by diagonal size alone. Confirm that the projector can present the intended 2.35:1 or 21:9 content correctly, and decide whether the installation will use lens memory, zoom or an anamorphic lens. The standard contrast surface suits long-throw cinema use, while PET Grid, white and acoustic materials can be specified for project-specific needs. PET Crystal options remain size-limited and require engineering confirmation. Room width, seating distance, speaker location and subtitle handling should all be reviewed before final selection.

  • Verify that the projector supports the planned CinemaScope workflow
  • Choose the screen surface separately from the 21:9 frame format
  • PET Crystal configurations are generally limited to approximately 115 inches and require confirmation
  • Request engineering review for unusual custom formats

Not recommended / limitations: Not recommended for UST projectors unless a specific custom surface and projector combination has been separately validated.

Compare before selecting: Choose GTCS for a native CinemaScope format; choose GTCC or GTCP for conventional 16:9 cinema installations.
